Horological Meandering

Seeing some beautiful pics of the new Ingenieur has piqued my interest about how it compares to the Laureato. 42 mm versus 40 mm. Now when I first discovered the GP, I bought the 38 mm, which actually wore more like a 36, a bit too small for my liking. I ...  

But, you need to try that Ingy someday. I was surprised how much I liked it when I tried it on. ...  

Good call. If I’ve learned anything in this hobby of 15 years, it’s no conclusions can be drawn until you try it on 😉 May I ask what you liked most about the Ingy? Looks great on your wrist! Depending on the source of lighting , I’ve seen that version loo... 

But the bracelet was a major part of it. The dial was a bit questionable due to the busy print. Maybe that's why my preference went for the white dial... ...  

Nice! I can see why the overall watch, and especially size at 40 mm is attractive . The Laureato and Ingy are very close when it comes to case thickness . Actually, I think their sleekness measures exactly the same! What size is your wrist?

42 mm isn’t typically vintage proportions, lol. But 40 mm may just be my sweet spot for this style 😎

I owned the 38 mm white dial for a period of time. Beauty. But it wore a bit too small (more like a 36 mm). So here we are with the 42 mm 😎

It was SURPRISING how similar the two watches felt on the wrist.

Looks fine on your wrist. I’m interested in this watch and tried on the black and green variants last week as well as the IWC, I preferred the GP by some way and wore well on my 18cm wrist.

Why did you prefer the GP?

I thought the GP had a bit more about it and more of a premium feel. I liked the dial patten and date window better than the IWC. I did t like the IWC as much as I’d anticipated although very nice not in the same league as the GP but obviously only my hum... 

Then I tried it on and got hooked! I’m very curious about the IWC now, especially with the aqua dial 😎

Once I finally got a chance to try on the 42 mm, and let it sink in for a bit, I could pull it off! Personally, my 7 inch wrist is at the very limit for 42 Laureato . Just my humble opinion. The rest, is history!
